This is #XMENMONDAY Round-Up
Multiple Man or How I Learned To Search The US Trademark Database
Earlier this week Bleeding Cool reported that Marvel filed a trademark on “Multiple Man”. These three trademark filings (serial numbers 87743902, 87743899, and 87743877 for those playing at home) that cover:
education and entertainment services, paper and paper articles cardboard and cardboard articles, printed matter, publications, books, photographs, portraits, paintings, photo-engravings, stationery, office and school supplies, school supply kits, temporary tattoo transfers, foam stamps, party bags, plastic sandwich bags, shopping bags, apparatus for recording, transmission, processing, and reproduction of sound, images, or data, digital media, audio books, audio and visual recordings, video game software, computer programs and software, downloadable electronic publications, downloadable game software, downloadable mobile applications, consumer electronics and accessories therefor, eyeglasses and sunglasses and accessories therefor, binoculars, decorative magnets, graduated rulers, microphones, helmets, flotation vests, protective face masks not for medical purposes, snorkels, swimming goggles, and swim masks.
This tracks with the possible resurrection of Jamie Madrox that we reported last week. Unless Marvel is trying to break into the snorkeling equipment market I think it is a safe bet that Multiple Man is coming back to comics in 2018.
This move seems to have come about thanks to the reported James Franco Multiple Man film. Thanks to Franco’s personal issues and big Hollywood moves this film may never see the light of day, however that doesn’t look to be stopping the comics side of things from bringing Jamie back. Jamie previously had a mini-series titled MADROX, however, no trademark was filed on that name at the time.
Q’s & A’s
We kick off this week with confirmation that before the end of PHOENIX RESURRECTION, Jean will reflect on how Cyclops changed while she was dead.
There is (at least what I think) a very emotional moment in issue #5 that speaks to your comment. As someone whose favorite comic romance was that between Scott and Jean it felt very powerful. I hope you all think so as well.

We are getting the X-MEN: RED character design sketches in the back matter of issue #2
The sketches will show up in the 2nd issue (we didn’t have room to add them to #1) but Mahmud, you can share the various stabs at Namor if you want. You had a bunch of cool variations #xmenmonday

Iceman is going to be hanging out with some familiar faces but fans shouldn’t expect a new book with that cast.
#ICEMAN will for real be running around with some teammates. Not a new book, though. #xmenmonday

Gail Simone Hits The Message Boards
Newly announced DOMINO writer Gail Simone visited the CBR boards to answer a could of questions about the new series. You can read the whole thing yourself but there are a couple of points of interest. A character from Agency X will be showing up and Cable will have “a presence” later in the series. Domino will most importantly have a gun in issue #1 that is “absolutely ridiculous”. She also discusses her exodus from Marvel and what ended up bringing her back.
Atomic Art
Last week we shared an Amilcar Pinna/Christina Strain joint. We got another beautiful one this week.

Prince of Abs-lantis
When X-MEN: RED was announced the biggest point of concern was why Namor was wearing a shirt. Well you spoke and Marvel listened, don’t say they never did anything for ya.
I understand there’s been some concern about our upcoming #XMenRed.
I hear you, and I’ve decided I need to publicly address this concern. So, hear goes…
No.
