Honey Badger & Shatterstorm Kick Off Another Week – #XMENMONDAY Round-Up

Every Monday Senior X-Men Editor Mark Paniccia answers fans questions and shares cool new art from the X-Line. We’ll be here compiling all those hints in one place, alongside the rest of the best stuff in X-Men Social media, so you don’t have to worry about missing a single second of it. This is #XMENMONDAY Round-Up

Honey Badger Don’t Care

Mark kicked off the week with a great teaser of Honey Badger and Deadpool. ALL-NEW WOLVERINE writer Tom Taylor followed up with more.

Living Weapons

We also got a look at WEAPON X #17 with some beautiful line work and what looks like Omega Red. He was dead last I checked (EDIT: Editor Chris Robinson reminded me that Omega Red survived his arc in X-MEN: GOLD and clarified that this is the classic flavor Redbut I’m also like 100% sure there are two Omega Red’s running around right now.

WEAPON X artist Yildiray Cinar also gave us some Warpath from the book.

A fan shared some great Polaris art which prompted Mark to let everyone know what is going on with her right now.

This doesn’t make it sound like the new team in BLUE will be a long-term thing but we will see. Speaking of which…

Venomized

X-MEN: BLUE writer Cullen Bunn had some news about shakeups in his book.

With upcoming CHAMPIONS writer Jim Zub saying this about other X-Men taking Scott’s place on that team.

She-Shattybuns

Shatterstar creator and DEADPOOL: BADDER BLOOD writer and artist Rob Liefeld showed a sketch of the newest addition to X-Men canon. Her name is Shatterstorm. It might be a brand new character or it might be Storm in Shatterstar cosplay. We’ll find out soon enough.

Returning Favorites

NEW MUTANTS: DEAD SOULS artist Adam T Gorham showed off his new design for Magik.

DOMINO writer Gail Simone answered a fan’s question about other character’s in her book and then shared a sketch of one.

Red All Over

X-MEN: RED artist Mahmud Asar showed off a couple pieces from his book.

Ice, Ice, Baby

Sina Grace gave us a sneak peak of his pages in ICEMAN

Odds, Ends

The Japanese powerhouse studio Gurihuiru showed off some neat process work from their beautiful JEAN GREY variant. According to my browser translating this for me the tweets read:

【Announcement】 I was in charge of the variant cover of “Jean Gray # 11”! It is on sale on January 31 in North America. Thank you very much. I wonder how many years I have drawn X-Men characters.

The rough draft is like this. Edited by a request that I want to make the fire bird more tight and smallerA

I’m sure that’s like 70% wrong.

And GENERATION X artist Amilcar Pinna showed us some of the initial sketches for the book.

SECRET EMPIRE UNITED writer Jim Zub finally settled long-standing questions that this writer has had in his Reddit AMA on /r/comicbooks

That’s what we got this week! See you next #XMENMONDAY
