The team visits Wakanda in our EXCLUSIVE preview of X-Force #2

Y’ever notice when they convene a meeting of all of the Marvel super-geniuses, Forge isn’t there? No one asked Forge to join the Illuminati when the Skrulls were invading, or when the incursions started. You never see Forge on a Zoom call with Mr. Fantastic and Iron Man and Hank Pym and Beast and Shuri and Moon Girl trying to puzzle out how to stop Thanos or Doctor Doom or Galactus or whatever. Even in X-Men circles, he wasn’t on the Quiet Council. He was holed up in Krakoa’s basement making bio-tech and doing “hot squats.”

So who the hell let Forge do an X-Force?

If I’m Cyclops and I get wind of this, I’m saying something. If I’m Wolverine and I get wind of this, I’m sneaking up behind Forge on a mission, popping my claws behind him and asking, “What the hell do you think you’re doing, Bub?” If I’m Cable … Hey, where the hell IS Cable anyway?

You think X-Factor counts as leadership experience? You ask Havok how far that’s gotten him.

Look at this issue preview. Forge thinks he can sneak into Wakanda and fight Black Panther? Maybe in the ’90s, when no one cared about him, but now? He’s A-list, baby. He’s in movies. He’s guesting in this issue ‘cuz he’s got the juice. You’re not here to win, Forge, you’re here to roll over like the jobber you are.
