Jake’s pick: Wolverine #1: There’s a killer in the woods, and as Wolverine’s attempt at peace is shattered, an old enemy will re-emerge as a new villain rises who will bring Logan to the brink of his berserker rage. But Nightcrawler knows his old friend is capable of doing what’s right, and before long, Logan will have to unleash his claws, push his healing factor to the limit and demonstrate he’s the best there is at what he does once and for all. Written by Saladin Ahmed and drawn by Martin Coccolo. ($4.99) Check out our From the Ashes guide. | Buy it here.

Austin’s pick: Avengers Assemble #1: When vampires attacked, a ragtag group of volunteer Avengers changed the tide of battle. And in the aftermath, Captain America has formed the Avengers Emergency Response Squad. Steve’s handpicked team of veterans and newcomers live and train in Avengers Mansion, and when Cap sounds the mission horn, whoever’s on base has seconds to pack up and deploy. And did someone say jackets? Written by Steve Orlando and drawn by Cory Smith. ($4.99) Previously, in Avengers … | Buy it here.

Adam’s pick: Uncanny X-Men #2: Rogue, Gambit and Wolverine welcome a friend back, just in time to face four uncontrollable, wild mutants in the swamps of Louisiana. But with the mutant community disheartened and fractured, will even the Uncanny X-Men be enough to stop them? Written by Gail Simone and drawn by David Marquez. ($4.99) Previously, in Uncanny X-Men … | Buy it here.

Scott’s pick: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2: Michelangelo is living in Tokyo, where he’s become a big TV star. It’s a pretty cool life, full of fame and fortune, but if he’s being honest, Mikey misses his brothers and the sense of purpose they had together. Well, in a classic case of “be careful what you wish for,” that old life looks like it’s coming to find him when ninjas show up in his apartment armed to the teeth. Written by Jason Aaron and drawn by Rafael Albuquerque for IDW. ($4.99) Buy it here.

Rasmus’ pick: The Domain #3: Dez, Liz and Max are all The Domain now. Given the chance to become heroes, will they be up to the challenge? Written by Chip Zdarsky and drawn by Rachael Stott for Image. ($3.99) Buy it here.

Tony’s pick: Transformers #12: The fate of two worlds is decided here, as the Autobots and Decepticons make choices that will change the universe forever. Written by Daniel Warren Johnson and drawn by Jorge Corona for Image/Skybound. ($3.99) Listen to Johnson on last week’s ComicsXF Interview Podcast. | Buy it here.

Mark’s pick: Fantastic Four #25: When an excursion to Latveria sends the Fantastic Four to an alien world, they have to work just to survive, and to make their way back to Earth. But that won’t be easy on a world so unlike our own and with an alien civilization hundreds of years behind where we are. And it’s not made any easier when Johnny Storm hooks up with one of the aliens there. Written by Ryan North and drawn by Carlos E. Gomez. ($3.99) Buy it here.

Matt’s pick: Joker by James Tynion IV Compendium: Collecting Joker #1-15, Joker Annual 2021, Batman: Joker War Zone #1 and Batman #100. ($59.99) Previously, in BatChat … | Buy it here.

Dan’s pick: Justice Warriors Vol. 2: Vote Harder: It’s election time in Bubble City, the ultra-safe enclave for the rich, surrounded by the dangerous mutant district called the Uninhabited Zone. Veteran officer Swamp Cop is pulled into a clandestine operation, a violent mission that will put him on a collision course with his beloved partner Schitt. By Matt Bors and Ben Clarkson for AHOY Comics. ($19.99) Listen to the first time Bors and Clarkson were on The CXF Interview Podcast. | Buy it here.
