CON WATCH: Q Con returns for 4th annual LGBTQ+ show in May in West Hollywood

For several years now, our man in the field Matt Lazorwitz has attended Flame Con, New York’s annual LGBTQ+ comic convention, to interview creators, attend panels and generally be a good friend.

But that’s the East Coast. What about the West Coast?

Prism Comics has just brought to our attention Q Con, Southern California’s only free LGBTQ+ comic convention, returning for its fourth year to Fiesta Hall in West Hollywood’s Plummer Park. Guests this year include Killer Queens and Canto co-creator David Booher, Blue Beetle writer Josh Trujillo and Lumberjanes co-creator Shannon Watters. Not to mention regular Redesigning contributor Joe Pryde and our friends from The Comics Courier!

Panel announcements are expected in April, per the show’s website. Opportunities to volunteer and table at the show are still available.

Check out the original press release below for more information, and if you’re in the area, check it out!
