Oh, that’s right, Psylocke had a kid.
We first found out about Himeko in Fallen Angels (2019), where it’s revealed she died overdosing on an AI-infused drug (See kids, AI is bad; don’t let it do your homework for you). Later, in Hellions, Mister Sinister uses the promise of resurrecting Himeko to keep Kwannon in his service. This goes about as well as any deal with Sinister, and the sample that would have allowed for Himeko’s resurrection was destroyed by Havok in a psychotic break.
Fast forward to Psylocke’s solo series, and Kwannon has been experiencing psychic hallucinations, so that’s why we see her daughter in this comic.
Why Orifice from X-Men (2024) #4 is also here is anybody’s guess.
Check out our exclusive preview of Psylocke #6, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
