Tony’s pick: Amazing Spider-Man #1: Peter Parker is, shockingly, without a job and looking for gainful employment, but his job search is interrupted by a rampaging Rhino who is but the tip of a sinister iceberg. What major Spider-villain is working behind the scenes weaponizing other Spider-villains, including one we haven’t seen in over seven years? Also, what is the Goblin-free Norman Osborn up to anyway? Written by Joe Kelly and drawn by Pepe Larraz and John Romita Jr. ($5.99) Previously, in Amazing Spider-Man … | Buy it here.

Dan’s pick: The Great British Bump-Off: Kill or Be Quilt #1: Surely there is no vacation more drama-free than a boating holiday along the sleepy canals of Yorkshire? Oh, you’d think so. Sadly, for Shauna Wickle, it’s tough to escape poisonous small-town rivalries (and sultry romantic entanglements) when travelling at a steady two to three miles per hour. And to make things worse, she’s about to find out how ruinously expensive a hastily tied knot can be. By John Allison and Max Sarin for Dark Horse. ($4.99) Buy it here.

Jake’s pick: Absolute Batman #7: It’s about to get icy cold in Gotham City as the connections between a young scientist named Victor Fries, his history with the Ark M experiment and the mysterious Joker are revealed. Rom tracks these vile creatures across the cosmos to Earth, where they have infiltrated the highest levels, including S.H.I.E.L.D. Armed with his energy analyzer, only Rom can see the true form of the Dire Wraiths — and with his neutralizer, he can blast them to Limbo! But what will Earth make of this armored invader? Will his quest be aided or hindered by encounters with the X-Men and Jack of Hearts? And can he survive deadly clashes with supervillains like the Mad Thinker and the Space Phantom? Collecting ROM #1-20, written by Bill Mantlo and drawn by Sal Buscema. ($49.99) Buy it here.

Matt’s pick: Romeo vs. Juliet: A Kill Shakespeare Adventure GN: Pregnant warrior-for-hire Juliet Capulet is hired to protect a border-town nunnery from the evil forces led by her ex Romeo. As they prepare, she reluctantly reunites with her old allies, including Hamlet, Othello and Puck, but they soon discover something rotten in the state of the nunnery and a magical force that dreams are made on, all while Juliet must determine whether the father of her child is Hamlet or the man she must kill, Romeo.
