BatChat With Matt & Will: A Pride Tribute to Kevin Conroy

Kevin Conroy Banner

The evolution of representation of queer characters in mainstream superhero comics is something that entire books can, and should, be written about. So I’m not going to wax rhapsodic about all the changes here, but it’s June and thus Pride Month, and so we’re back with queer Bat characters. First we wrap up Greg Rucka’s run on Batwoman in Detective Comics, next we see the first HarlIvy wedding (in the Injustice Universe of all places) and we read one of the DC Pride anthologies, the one that includes the brilliant story written by the one true voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy.

Matt Lazorwitz read his first comic at the age of 5. It was Who's Who in the DC Universe #2, featuring characters whose names begin with B, which explains so much about his Batman obsession. He writes about comics he loves, and co-hosts the podcasts BatChat with Matt & Will and The ComicsXF Interview Podcast.

Will Nevin loves bourbon and AP style and gets paid to teach one of those things. He is on Twitter far too often.
