Last week, we told you about Age of Revelation, the next big X-Men event, in which the world is transformed by Doug Ramsey, aka Revelation, the heir of Apocalypse. With that announcement came logos for a buttload of new series:
Today, Marvel announced details on five of those books – Amazing X-Men, Binary, Laura Kinney: Sabretooth, Longshots and World of Revelation, a one-shot – with more to come as we get deeper into this, the month of Comic-Con.
But the buried lede, amid all this world-shaking and alliance changing:
HICKMAN IS COMING BACK.
Don’t get it twisted. The days of the “Head of X” are long past him. But Jonathan Hickman and former X-Slack colleague Gerry Duggan are teaming up for Longshots. It’s barely an X-book, with a stated cast of Wonder Man, Hellcat, Bishop, Rhino and Kraven. But hey, that’s more Bishop than we’ve had in a while, so that’s something, right?
Other titles appear to show a future version of Cyclops’ X-Men, Carol Danvers’ old Binary identity using the Phoenix Force, Laura Kinney taking a new codename and Doug wondering if his Big Blue Dad is proud of him.

This October, AGE OF REVELATION takes the Marvel Universe 10 years into a future where the world has been reshaped by Apocalypse’s heir, Doug Ramsey AKA Revelation!
Announced last week, AGE OF REVELATION #0, a surprise prelude issue, will be available at select retailers later this week and additional copies can be ordered now. AGE OF REVELATION officially begins this October in AGE OF REVELATION OVERTURE #1, a one-shot by current X-Men creative team, writer Jed MacKay and artist Ryan Stegman. Following that, AGE OF REVELATION continues in bold new titles, including an evolution of the entire current X-Men line. Today, fans can learn about the first of these new series, all hitting stands on October 8.
The world is beholden to the will of REVELATION! Doug Ramsey commands Earth with his voice, creating the Revelation Territories, a new mutant utopia built on an insidious lie. The new launches include AMAZING X-MEN, a flagship X-title introducing the team of X-Men leading the resistance against Revelation; LAURA KINNEY: SABRETOOTH, a new solo series that sees Laura Kinney take on the mantle of Sabretooth; BINARY, a cosmic series starring the power of the Phoenix; LONGSHOTS, a series following various characters trapped in a twisted competition by Mojo; and WORLD OF REVELATION, an anthology one-shot that explores AGE OF REVELATION’s impact on the wider Marvel Universe, featuring the fate of the Fantastic Four, the end of the Young Avengers, and the gaze of Apocalypse.
