But everything changes when she serves a mysterious warrior named Ash, whose secrets might just save the world, if his superhuman strength doesn’t destroy it first. Rasmus’ pick: Krypto: Last Dog of Krypton #2: Krypto, the last dog of Krypton, has landed on an alien world called Earth after his shuttle test went catastrophically wrong. Krypto wanders into a city, scared and hurt, but this lost dog has found someone to take care of him. A young man: troubled, unkind but ambitious. Krypto just wants to be loved, but that may not be something this boy is capable of. Krypto may be the first to suffer at the hands of Lex Luthor. Written by Ryan North and drawn by Mike Norton. Dan’s pick: Benjamin #2: In an effort to unravel the mystery of author Benjamin J. Carp’s unexpected reappearance, Benjamin and his newfound companion, Marcus, travel to the arid Joshua Tree desert, where they discover the secret lair of a cabal of scientists eager to revive the minds of some of history’s greatest thinkers in an effort to save humanity from its greatest weakness: lack of imagination. Are they to be believed, or is this just more sci-fi hokum torn from a chapter in one of Carp’s novels? Written by Ben H. Winters and drawn by Leomacs for Oni Press. She and her crew discover that the key to taking down The Voice is to be found on the other side of a marriage altar, so it’s time to prepare for the wedding of B.D. Belgique.
