We love seeing a Sentinel get his head lopped off, don’t we? Something about that image takes us back to our childhood, when we spent our hard-earned quarters playing the X-Men arcade game and running through stage after stage of palette-swapped robots while poorly translated villains said things like, “X-Men, welcome to die!”
Cyclops looks back on that time fondly as well. Look at him smiling, running himself through Danger Room scenarios where Sentinels chase him and various robo-things pop out of the walls and shoot at him.
Child soldier life agreed with him.
