The Xavier Institute has a long history of, questionable educational accreditation. Regardless of that, Magik is apparently qualified to teach in STRANGE ACADEMY #1. Or maybe not, frankly we have one, out of context image. Skottie Young and Humberto Ramos, no strangers to teams of teens with abilities have created a new cast of kids to inhabit the New Orleans based Strand Academy, in their title coming out this March.
Illyana Rasputin has a long history of training children in the use of magiks, mostly in terms of stealing their souls or accidentally trapping them forever in her soul sword. The real question is, “what does this mean for New Mutants?” Could the focus on Glob Herman push Yana into a different book? Could it be getting canceled? Could we be jumping to conclusions with literally no evidence?
Yes to all of those questions.
