There are a bunch of announcements, and I don’t have much time, so I am just going to blast on through them.
FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2020: X-MEN
We have a sexy new cover for FCBD 2020: X-MEN from House Of X artist Pepe Larraz. He and Jonathan Hickman will write a tale that will “lead into a game-changing summer for all of X!” It’s probably going to be super-good, and also free.
On the flip side, we have X-Men: Red writer Tom Taylor joined by Iban Coello that will “foreshadow an upcoming epic tale”. Could this mean Taylor returns to the X-Line soon? Probably.
JUGGERNAUT
Deadpool’s greatest co-creator returns to the X-Men as Fabian Nicieza writes JUGGERNAUT. Ron Garney will join Papa Fabian as Juggernaut is “done letting others pick up the pieces of the things he’s destroyed.” This 5 issue mini-series starts in May.
iWOLVERINE
Wolverine legend Larry Hama returns to his most famous characters, Albert and Else Dee, in the two part iWolverine. Roland Boschi will provide the art as “In the wake of Arno Stark’s crusade against A.I.s, no robot is safe. Fearing of Elsie Dee’s safety in these tumultuous times, Albert, the robot Wolverine, goes to Madripoor to find her… but what he finds is a fight against Madripoor’s criminal underbelly instead!”
I have no int rest in the 2020 stuff, but I do love Albert.
Zachary Jenkins runs ComicsXF and is a co-host on the podcast “Battle of the Atom.” Shocking everyone, he has a full and vibrant life outside of all this.
