BatChat With Matt & Will: Batman is the Kwisatz Haderach (w/ Dan Grote)

ComicsXF BatChat Banner

It’s time to celebrate! Matt’s other show, The ComicsXF Interview Podcast, reached episode 300 this week. And so for that celebration, that show’s co-host, the first ever BatChat guest, Matt’s best friend of over 30 years, ComicsXF Editor-in-Chief Dan Grote, is joining BatChat again. We are talking stories from three creators who have been interviewed on the podcast formerly known and WMQ&A (Find out about the name change by listening). Those creators are Kelley Jones (with a side of another BatChat fave, Matt Wagner), Joe Kelly and Scott Snyder (who appeared twice, and each half of his name is a different link to a different episode. Listen to them both!).

  • Darkest Night of the Man-Bat (Batman V.1 #536-538)
  • Who Would Win? (Superman/Batman V.1 #78)
  • Nowhere Man (Batman V.2 #19-20)

In this week’s BatChat column, we read Batman and Robin #8, Batman & Superman: World’s Finest #26 and Nightwing #113.

Matt Lazorwitz read his first comic at the age of five. It was Who's Who in the DC Universe #2, featuring characters whose names begin with B, which explains so much about his Batman obsession. He writes about comics he loves, and co-hosts the creator interview podcast WMQ&A with Dan Grote.

Will Nevin loves bourbon and AP style and gets paid to teach one of those things. He is on Twitter far too often.

Dan Grote is the editor-in-chief of ComicsXF, having won the site by ritual combat. By day, he’s a newspaper editor, and by night, he’s … also an editor. He co-hosts WMQ&A: The ComicsXF Interview Podcast with Matt Lazorwitz. He lives in New Jersey with his wife, two kids and two miniature dachshunds, and his third, fictional son, Peter Winston Wisdom.
