Our EXCLUSIVE preview of X-Factor #2 reminds us of the worst couples in comics

Is there a worse couple in comics than Havok and Polaris? Let’s go through some of the other offenders.

Joker and Harley Quinn: Toxic, violent, abusive, but Harley eventually had the sense to leave her man and find love and acceptance with Poison Ivy.

Storm and Black Panther: Shoved together on the thinnest of continuity pulls predicated on the very Marvel idea that Africa is a homogenous landmass. But they eventually divorced.

Beast and Trish Tilby: She’s a reporter who sold mutants down the river more than once. He’s a war criminal. But, again, they had the sense to break up.

Superman and Wonder Woman: Yes, they’re both super powerful and hot, but detaching Clark from Lois detaches Superman from his humanity. Good enough for the New 52 and literally no other comics.

Mary Jane and Paul: Look, I’m not out here saying Peter and Mary Jane forever, but Paul? Fuck that guy.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Janet is better than Hank. She knows it. He knows it. The whole goddamn Marvel Universe knows it. Yet because they’re Stan-and-Jack characters they’ll never leave us, or each other.

Fenris. OK, I think we found a winner. Havok and Polaris are a better couple than the gross Nazi incest twins.
