Doctor Strange #4 pits angels against dark elves (PREVIEW)

Need a place to set a fish-out-of-water story in the Marvel Universe?

Haaaaaave you met Asgard?

It’s where Storm became a thunder god, complete with her own hammer; where the New Mutants hung out not once but twice, Dani Moonstar became a Valkyrie and Wolfsbane met the wolf prince who would later impregnate her.

It’s a great place to bum around for a trade-filling six issues, run afoul of Loki, get drunk with the Warriors Three, fight some frost giants or dark elves, make friends with or love to some brand-new character from Vanaheim or Muspelheim who we never see again or we see like 20 years later when the next generation of writers is mining old comics for ideas, all the while readers are like, “Where’s Thor? When’s Thor gonna show up?” And then he does in the last part of the arc, all thunder and lightning and “I say thee nay!” like he doesn’t do that every month in his own book and also Avengers.

Anyway, that’s what Doctor Strange is up to these days.

Check out our exclusive preview of Doctor Strange #4, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
