The first issue of Bishop’s new solo miniseries introduces us to Flamequake, a future criminal from “The Final Brotherhood” (not to be confused with the Future Brotherhood from the “Battle of the Atom” crossover or the new Brotherhood from this week’s Hellfire Murder one-shot).
Flamequake has the pyrokinetic powers of Pyro and the geokinetic powers of Avalanche and refers to both of them as her “forebears,” saying she carries “their bloodlines.”
And listen, it’s OK to say you have two crime dads who love each other very much. Or crime grandpas. I don’t know how the timeline works now with Bishop’s future. But if Mystique and Destiny can have Nightcrawler, we can keep this train rolling. Mutant chimeras are great – we all loved HoxPox – but we can still make more mutants the old-fashioned way: hiring a surrogate to carry a blend of your genetic material.
Wait, is that how that works? I don’t know actually know where babies come from.
