X-MEN GRAND DESIGN: New Mini-Series Announced at SDCC by HIP-HOP FAMILY TREE Creator Ed Piskor

Announced last night at the “Marvel: The Next Big Thing” panel, the creator of the New York Times best-seller Hip-Hop Family Tree Ed Piskor will be the heading a new X-Men mini series called X-Men Grand Design. It will be a 6 issue series of oversized, 40-page comics to be released over the next 3 years. It will retell X-Men #1-#280 (roughly through the end of the Claremont era) as one continuous story, and Ed will do literally everything for this comic. He will write, pencil, ink, color, and letter the entire thing; the first time a Marvel comic has had a singular creative team. It started from a page (below) Ed drew in 2015 that got the attention of Marvel and has since evolved into this.

Marvel has released all six interconnecting covers for the series as well as a preview page that you can check out below. X-Men Grand Design will begin in December 2017.
