Remember that time Charles Xavier mindwiped Magneto and we got an issue of Uncanny X-Men where Magneto served as the Angry Claremontian Narrator inside Charles’ head? Sure ya do, that’s how we got Onslaught and learned Amelia Voght’s backstory! It’s ranked pretty high on Battle of the Atom’s Big Ol’ List.
Well, it looks like it’s time for Charles to repay the favor.
We haven’t seen Charles much lately. If you’ll recall, he escaped Graymalkin Prison and the X-Men spent a whole crossover fighting over whether he should face justice for his crimes during the Fall of X, but ultimately they let/helped him resurrect his partner, the former Shi’ar empress Lilandra, and escape to space to come to the aid of their daughter, the current empress Xandra.
But then Marvel pulled an aboutface on its cosmic line and we never saw where that story was going to go.
But if Jean Grey, the host of the cosmically powerful Phoenix Force, can come back to Earth for this event, certainly Charles can make an appearance and needle his BFF (best frenemy forever).
