Magneto & S.W.O.R.D. Are On Notice In Our Preview Of Guardians Of The Galaxy #15

If you have been paying attention to Planet-Size X-Men you will know that Magneto, and the entire Sol system, have had a pretty big week. Proving some people weren’t just spouting lies and fables years ago, the mutants have taken control of Mars. They have terraformed the planet for two reasons, to give a home to Arakko and to signal to the galaxy that they are not to be trifled with. They have declared a new Regent of Sol. In Guardians Of The Galaxy #15, someone takes notice.

S.W.O.R.D. writer Al Ewing has been slowly crafting this new age of Marvel cosmic, harkening back to the interconnected days of Annihilation. Soon, Ewing promises “The Last Annihilation“, a crossover event featuring the Guardians, S.W.O.R.D. and Cable that spins out of the events of the ongoing Hellfire Gala. The road to Annihilation begins in Guardians Of The Galaxy #15 as Nova is not too pleased with Magneto making big changes.

We have been loving the direction Al Ewing and artist Juan Frigeri have been taking the Guardians. Having it deal with the ramifications of S.W.O.R.D. with Abigail Brand and Magneto’s ambition is too sweet an opportunity to miss. Though judging by our exclusive preview of Guardians Of The Galaxy #15, Nova and Star-Lord are none too happy to be working with former supervillains. Good thing no one invited Doctor Doom to join their team or anything…
