Heroes of 3 Earths unite in our EXCLUSIVE preview of The Wrong Earth: We Could Be Heroes #2

The past five years have not been kind to quite a few indie publishers. One saw repeat turnover of its top brass and mass layoffs. One shrank down to one book a month and ended up licensing out all its content to another publisher. One declared bankruptcy. One pretty much dicked over all its creators and therefore deserved every bad thing that happened to it.

And then there’s AHOY Comics.

This scrappy gang of Upstate New York upstarts just wants to publish smart, satirical comics with backup prose stories and has done that steadily and successfully since 2018, amassing talent in that way that seemingly only former Vertigo editors can.

We’ve been big AHOY supporters pretty much from jump, chuckling away at series like Mark Russell, Richard Pace and Leonard Kirk’s Second Coming; Russell and Steve Pugh’s Billionaire Island; Paul Constant and Fred Harper’s Snelson; and, most recently, Paul Cornell and Marika Cresta’s Con and On.

For the big 5, AHOY is revisiting two of its original series, The Wrong Earth and Captain Ginger, for two-issue engagements. The Wrong Earth: We Could Be Heroes centers on what happens when the villains of Earth-Alpha take over Fortune City during a time when its heroes are elsewhere, and who rises up to fill the void.

Check out our exclusive preview of The Wrong Earth: We Could Be Heroes #2, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
