I’m gonna be honest: I’m not loving this Talon-inside-Synch’s-body subplot in X-Men. It’s another example of the woman having to suffer to further the male hero’s arc, and it came during a week when Gerry Duggan was writing a lot of women — Laura, Emma Frost, Riri Williams, Jean Grey — as props for their male costars — Synch, Iron Man, Forge, Cyclops.
Between X-Men and the “Sabretooth War” unfolding in Wolverine, we could be looking at both Laura Kinneys getting taken off the board. Probably not, but definitely one of them. But if so, the Laura in Wolverine is putting up a lot more of a fight.
Also, has anyone seen Gabby recently? Or Jonathan the Actual Wolverine?
