You guys, it’s Maggott! You know, Japheth, the guy with the robo-slugs that eat stuff and who turns blue sometimes. He was an X-man, albeit after the point where joining the X-Men got you on cartoons and T-shirts and stuff.

Anyway, he’s back just in time for the fiscal quarter’s hottest X-event, “X-Manhunt,” in which Professor X, after explicitly not escaping Graymalkin Prison just a couple months ago when his former students gave him the opportunity, busts out based on what is apparently, according to the summary page below, a psychic distress call from his half-bird space daughter, Xandra.
Now, let’s set aside the fact that Xandra has an entire Shi’ar Imperial Guard and an aunt Deathbird at her disposal – honestly the Shi’ar deal with coups every other week, so they may not even be around to take her call – where does Charles expect to get a ride to Shi’ar space from? All his kids are mad at him, and Quinjets don’t grow on trees.
