The Vig comes for Gambit in our EXCLUSIVE preview of Uncanny X-Men #12

Webster’s defines “vig” (short for vigorish) as “a charge taken (as by a bookie or a gambling house) on bets” or “interest paid to a moneylender.”

Normally, opening with information from the dictionary would be cliché (I mean, it’s still cliché), but it felt important to share because next week’s issue of Uncanny X-Men features a character from Gambit’s past called The Vig. Given we associate Gambit with his trademark playing cards, naming a character connected with him The Vig makes sense, because cards can be used for gambling.

Anyway, this is a story about Gambit’s past catching up with him. Not the helping-the-Marauders-find-the-Morlocks thing. Other stuff.
