Mei makes valid points in an EXCLUSIVE preview of Cyclops #3

I like this Mei kid.

Cyclops has built up such a reputation as this revolutionary X-Men leader that when he’s around he automatically changes the (metaphorical) temperature in the room, the way Charles Xavier used to.

Look at the way his opposition has been a driving factor so far in X-Men United. If this were Rogue or Nightcrawler or Bishop speaking out against the new school, it wouldn’t carry nearly as much weight.

But put him in his own personal “Wounded Wolf” story, complete with kid sidekick, and he’s not the best there is at what he does, he’s the guy who got his ass kicked by the evil Captain America and cost the X-Men Krakoa.

Mei knows of Cyclops, but she doesn’t know him. To her, he got to live in a paradise that was denied her. She’s the next generation, side-eyeing the flaws of her forebears. And while she’s in the same perilous scenario as Scott, fighting for her life, she has just enough grit and capital to suggest, “This Cyclops guy doesn’t seem that right.”

Now let’s go blast some more Reavers.

Check out our exclusive preview of Cyclops #3, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
