Dominikos “Avalanche” Petrakis didn’t get much to do on Krakoa. Unless I missed an X-Men Unlimited Infinity Comic – which I definitely did – his only real moment came when he was nominated for the 2022 X-Men vote, a race in which he and a number of other mutants were set up to lose to Spider-Man’s Amazing Friend Firestar.
His bestie Pyro, however, got to be on the Marauders and get a rad face tattoo (that just got removed in the pages of X-Factor, alas).
So it’s nice to see him pop up here in Declan Shalvey’s Mystique, a reminder of Raven’s connections during a time when Pyro is working for the U.S. government (again), Blob is being tortured in Graymalkin Prison and Destiny is …
Well, we don’t really know what’s up with Destiny after the end of the first issue, do we?
