1993 guest stars in our EXCLUSIVE preview of Marvel’s X-Force #10/300

Once upon a time, two righteous dudes named Fabian Nicieza and Greg Capullo wrote and drew a book called X-Force, about a bunch of extreme young adults finding their way in the world with the help of their large, swollen gun dad.

Sometimes, their large, swollen gun dad, whom they called Cable, would disappear for months at a time to fight battles in the future, or because he appeared to die in battle with his spiky clone archnemesis on the moon.

One time, Cable came back to his large, adult sons and daughters only to get his ass royally ripped to shreds by Magneto, whom most people thought was dead at the time. He wasn’t.

Cable got better, but the brief period when X-Force thought he might not get better is the subject of the backup story in the final issue of the current volume of X-Force, celebrating 300 issues of big guns, sharp claws and dudes taking each other down man to man and, quite literally, face to face.

Thank you, Fabian and Greg, and everyone else who has made X-Force the most extreme X-book of all.
