According to this one wiki I found and probably other stuff people have said interviews and whatnot, 15 years have passed between the time the Fantastic Four went on the space flight that gave them their powers and the present of the Marvel Universe. That means, if a story is set in 2025, the Age of Heroes began in 2010.
This would likely put Kitty Pryde first meeting the X-Men a couple years into that stretch. Let’s say 2012. If that’s the case, then the neighbor in this wacky time-travel adventure shouldn’t be getting messages on his pager, three years after Zach Galifianakis complained about not getting “a sig” on his beeper in the first Hangover movie. He should be fiddling with the iPhone 5 he just got from the Verizon store after his Blackberry finally crapped out.
But also, these are Marvel Entertainment Comics. Time can be whatever they want it to be. Dazzler first appeared an issue after Kitty. If it’s 2012, does that mean instead of a disco queen she should be a Carly Rae Jepsen knockoff?
Actually, that’s not such a bad idea. Call me, Marvel, maybe.
