Damn, that panda got huge in our EXCLUSIVE preview of AHOY Comics’ Ancestral Recall #5

We here at ComicsXF have been down with AHOY Comics’ Ancestral Recall – about an artist who can summon the powers of real figures from Black history – from jump.

We talked with writer Jordan Clark on The ComicsXF Interview Podcast when the series was first coming out, and our own Latonya Pennington had some very nice things to say about issue #4.

But one thing we weren’t prepared for was the panda getting huge.

When we first met Petunia, the animatronic pet panda of Myran Byun, the teenage neighbor of our protagonist, she was no taller than knee high, getting into shenanigans like a fun little background prop. Now, in issue #5, Petunia appears to be a full-grown bamboo chomper, though no less adorable.

They grow up so fast.

Check out our exclusive preview of Ancestral Recall #5, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
