In the long-ago year of 2025, the Louisiana X-Men ran afoul of a young woman named Mutina, an anti-mutant vlogger-turned-indie slasher star who appears to actually be a self-hating mutant who’d rather her kind stayed in the closet.
Her first appearance, in Uncanny X-Men #17, saw her threaten the Outliers Jitter and Calico, only to be threatened in turn by Wolverine, protector of teen-girl mutants everywhere.
So it comes as a bit of a surprise to see Mutina ask Logan to join the X-Men in this short preview. No doubt she has ulterior motives. OR her first appearance was so popular that editorial decided to start softening the edges and pivot her to good guy status. One of those.
Check out our exclusive preview of Uncanny X-Men #22, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
