Taskmaster comes to town in Wolverine #23 (PREVIEW)

Y’ever think about how the MCU took Taskmaster, frequently a supporting character in Deadpool comics, and turned her into a silent killer a la Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, only to realize they hecked up and kill her off in Thunderbolts*?

(To be 100% clear, this is not a complaint about the gender swap; this is a complaint about the personality erasure. A female Taskmaster who was every bit as two-faced, opportunistic and skilled as her male comics counterpart would have been infinitely more interesting.)

There’s a version of the MCU where Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is still a thing and a talkier Tasky from another reality shows up and hangs around for a season. That could be fun.

But we play the cards we’re dealt.

Check out our exclusive preview of Wolverine #23, out next week, and keep scrolling for the basic deets.
